We received a visit from Dr. Ragnheidur “Heida” Gudjonsdottir from Professor Karuna Sampath‘s lab at the University of Warwick. Heida studies regulators of extraembryonic development in zebrafish and is examining their functional conservation using human trophoblast models in collaboration with our lab.

The Theunissen Lab joined the Center of Regenerative Medicine for a St. Louis Cardinals game on Thursday, May 4th. Despite our vocal support, the Cardinals lost to the Angels. Keep up the good fight Redbirds!
Thor visited the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at CU Boulder on Thursday, November 17. He gave a seminar on human pluripotent stem cell states and the genetic regulation of human trophoblast stem cells. He also met with faculty in the Department of Biochemistry and the BioFrontiers Institute. Thanks again Justin Brumbaugh for your kind invitation to visit this beautiful campus!
